Are the shelves fixed or adjustable?
Adjustable; using the provided metal shelf 'pins,' you can easily place the shelves wherever you like
What comes with the wood parts?
In addition to the panels that make up the sides, top, bottom, shelves and back, RS supplies the necessary hardwood dowels for final assembly. If shelves come with your order, we will provide (4) shelf pins for each shelf - we'll throw in
a few extras because you're bound to lose a few in the shuffle.
How do I assemble my shelf or cubby?
Using the provided hardwood dowels and a drop or two of regular yellow wood glue (available at any home center) placed in the holes, the parts can be pressed together by hand. Occasionally, you may need to persuade the dowels with a light blow from a hammer (as long as you remember to protect the veneer from the hammer with a block of wood!) A clamp may also be useful , but not necessary. Dowels usually stay put, so don't assemble until you're ready for a complete unit. If you have any questions, please contact us.
Are the parts sanded?
The unfinished wood veneer is sanded at the plywood factory, but because everyone's finished process may be different, RS does not sand the veneers any more that the factory did.
What is on the edges of the parts?
RS applies a real wood veneer edge to the visible (front) edges.

How do the shelves (horizontal dividers) work?
All our shelves are adjustable. We drill holes along the sides of the cabinets every 32mm, so you have lots of configuration options. With each shelf, we'll send along (4) shelf pins.
